Daily Face-Yoga Tarot Exercise

The Lip Press

The Lip Press (2)
the lip press

The Lip Press is a face-yoga exercise designed to target the muscles around the mouth, particularly those involved in lip movement and expression. This exercise can help ton these muscles, improving the definition of the lips and reducing the appearance of lines around the mouth.

Target Face Muscles

Orbicularis Oris: This complex of muscles encircles the mouth and controls the movements of the lips.

Mentalis: Located on the chin, this muscle is involved in the pouting and protrusion of the lower lip.

How to Practice the Lip Press

Starting Position: Sit or stand comfortably with a relaxed posture. Keep your face relaxed, especially around the mouth area.

The Movement:

  • Firmly press your lips together, ensuring you do not clench your teeth.
  • While keeping your lips pressed, try to smile as broadly as possible, stretching the edges of your lips.
  • Hold this position for a few seconds.
  • Relax and return to the starting position.

Duration and Frequency: Repeat this pressing and stretching motion 5-10 times. You can do this exercise once or twice a day.

Benefits

Toned Lip Muscles: Regular practice can lead to more substantial and defined muscles around the lips.

Reduced Fine Lines: This may help minimize fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth area.

Improved Lip Definition: This can assist in enhancing the natural shape and contour of the lips.

Promotes Relaxation: Focusing on lip movements can be calming, reducing stress levels.
