The Nose Shaper (2)
the nose shaper

The Nose Shaper is a face-yoga exercise aimed at targeting the muscles around the nose. This exercise is designed to enhance the shape and definition of the nose by toning the surrounding muscles.

Target Face Muscles

Nasalis Muscle: This muscle is involved in compressing and flaring the nostrils.

Procerus Muscle: Located between the eyebrows, this muscle helps pull the skin between the eyebrows down.

How to Practice the Nose Shaper

Starting Position: Sit or stand comfortably with a relaxed posture. Keep your face relaxed, especially around the nose area.

The Movement:

  • Place your index fingers on either side of your nose.
  • Gently press against the sides of your nose while trying to flare your nostrils.
  • Keep the rest of your face as still as possible.
  • Hold this position for a few seconds, then relax.

Duration and Frequency: Repeat this pressing and flaring motion 5-10 times. You can do this exercise once or twice a day.

Benefits

Toned Nasal Muscles: Regular practice can lead to stronger muscles around the nose, potentially enhancing its shape.

Improved Control: This may assist in improving control over the nasalis muscle, aiding in nostril flaring.

Reduced Tension: This can help relieve tension in the muscles around the nose, which is especially beneficial for those who frown or squint often.
